BioObi-Wan was born on Hydraethea, a planet in the Vyarin system, to Taliesin and Cerys Kenobi. He has an older brother, Alain, whom he knew as Owen due to childhood mispronunciation. Alain is three years older.
When Obi-Wan was three years old, his parents took their two sons to a celebration in honor of Hydraethea's joining of the Republic, where a Jedi ambassador and his Padawan happened to be making an appearance. This was Obi-Wan's first encounter with Qui-Gon Jinn. He had escaped his parents and older brother and was after cookies when Qui-Gon found him, returning him to his worried folks for a short time before taking him away to the Temple.
Obi-Wan fit in well at the Jedi Temple. He found his classes interesting and his studies relatively simple. At the age of five, he was taken on as a Padawan by Qui-Gon Jinn.Thus avoiding the whole stupid angstfest that is the dumb Obi-as-a-teenager mess of mischaracterization. Although I rather like the next bit because it's fun as a roleplay point.
As he grew, he became interested in another Padawan close to his age, by the name of Siri Tachi. Their on-again, off-again relationship would continue for years until her death. Despite the constant flirting with Siri and the not-so-secret lust between the two, both agreed to remain celibate, as per their interpretation of the Jedi Code.
At the age of twenty-five, during a diplomatic mission to Naboo, Obi-Wan's Master died, leaving him a complete and utter emotional mess. He had agreed to train the boy Qui-Gon had assumed to be the Chosen One, and it was only due to several confrontations with the youngling that Obi-Wan was roused from his depression. With the support of Anakin Skywalker and a therapistwho has yet to be named, he rose above his grief and began training the boy in earnest.
Roughly ten years later, due to some strange occurrences, his Master was ressurrected. Qui-Gon returned to Obi-Wan and explained that he'd been in love with him for nearly ten years before he'd died. They became lovers and a few months later, they were married on Qui-Gon's home planet of Kadar.
Currently, he lives in the Temple with Qui-Gon, Qui-Gon's daughter Kali-Rose, four cats, three fish, and a sugar glider.
